A Note about Fundraising

"The real working capital of a PTA lies in its

members, not in its treasury"

At Leonardtown Elementary we don't believe in fundraising for the sake of fundraising.
Simply raising money is - Not - the primary focus of the PTA.
We follow the national PTA standards that require a 3-1 rule. For every fundraiser - our goal is to at least partially support three non fund raising projects. The programs and events we support are chosen before we decide how to raise the money for them.
We strive to make our fundraisers fun and entertaining.

With your help - here are just a few of the programs we will be supporting this year:

Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends can help raise the funds needed to support the LES PTA. 	BJ's Fuel Your Fundraiser Program Fuel Your Fundraiser" campaign offer by BJ's offers a membership to BJ's for $35 with 15 months of membership. For every application received through the program $5 is given back to the school. Sign up sheets will be sent home with your child soon and also be available during Back to School Night.
	Box Tops for Education The box tops program was a tremendous success last year. We received $2,600.00 We will continue to collect box tops this year. Please clip and save all of your box tops! 	Green School Project Mrs. Gantz and Mrs. Redmond are holding a wonderful fundraiser that is also great for the environment. Simply send your empty printer cartridges to school - and help raise badly needed funds for the media center! This is not a PTA event - but it is certainly a worthwhile cause!!!
