| Who and what is PTA? |
PTA often brings to mind bake sales and car washes hosted by
stay at home moms with extra time on their hands. In reality,
PTA is that AND so much more. We are moms, dads,
grandparents, school staff and community members with a
common interest, the welfare of our children. Yes, PTA is
fund-raising; but it is also teacher support, family involvement,
and student recognition. What is our goal? To bring out the best
in every child. Give them all a chance. Speak up for them, be
their voice. Add value, one child at a time. It doesn't matter how
you word it, the goal is the same; protect and support the
children so that they may reach their full potential. For more
