Welcome Back! Please bear with us as we get our 2008/2009 web site back in shape! There are so MANY fun and interesting programs to add this year! Quick Calendar Notes: August 19th - Open House Please join us Friday, August 22nd 9:30 AM: Our first annual Boo Hoo Breakfast! If you are a kindergarten parent and would like to spend some time socializing with the other kindergarten parents, please join us for coffee, bagels and conversation. We'll probably have a few tears and laughs as well. Younger siblings are welcome. Plus, we have great door prizes!
2008/2009 Membership forms are now online. Dear Parents, The number one priority for parents is their children’s well being. More than 30 year’s worth of research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and at school. Grades and test scores climb. Self esteem grows. Schools improve. There’s a simple way for you to help your child succeed: Join PTA PTA helps parents, students, school staff and communities work together to share ideas about programs and activities that benefit children. Our PTA provides information and resources that strengthen the connections between children, parents, schools and the community. In the past year we have:
¨ Sponsored Sunshine Math, a math enrichment program ¨ Sponsored Reflections, a national PTA fine arts program ¨ Sponsored Science and Tech night ¨ Sponsored Fall Festival ¨ Sponsored Literacy Night and other family oriented activities ¨ Supported our school through staff appreciation
The PTA for Leonardtown Elementary School would like to thank all of our parents and volunteers for a very successful 2007/2008 school year. We look forward to seeing you in August when we move into our long anticipated New School!
